If you’re flying domestically (within Canada), your luggage should be at your destination without doing anything. If you are connecting from out of the country (flying into Canada), you will probably have to transport your luggage within the terminal for customs…they will give you those instructions on the plane.

Since you’re going from Canada to Chicago, no need to worry about luggage…it will be transferred for you & should be in Chicago when you are. Be sure to take a few things in your carry-on just in case your luggage gets separated from you, though. That’s always good policy no matter where you’re traveling to or from by plane.

They will take care of transferring it from flight to flight, and it will be there waiting for you in Chicago. You wont have to take care of anything except what you bring as a carry-on.
